This groundbreaking initiative is designed to share with the audience the phenomenal quality of the Iberoamerican and Irish film industries.
The festivals are coordinated by the Irish Indie Film Foundation and are part of the programming of IFI international and IFI.
The festivals are supported by Instituto Cervantes, Accion Cultural Española, Culture Ireland and the Embassy of Ireland in Spain.
The festivals aim is to connect Ireland and Ibero-American countries celebrating and bridging their film culture and giving a networking space to producers where they can blend their magic
The Ibero-American Film Festival Ireland is a vibrant celebration of the rich cultural diversity and cinematic artistry of Ibero-American countries, providing a unique platform for audiences in Ireland to experience films from Latin America, Spain, Brazil and Portugal.
This festival, taking place in Dublin as part of the Irish Film Institute (IFI) programming, will showcase a diverse selection of films that explore the social, historical, and artistic narratives of these regions.
Its first edition will be held from the 24th to the 27th of April 2025, bringing together filmmakers, audiences, and industry professionals to foster cultural exchange, inspire dialogue, and strengthen connections between Ireland and Ibero-America.
The inaugural Irish Film Festival Spain will be hosted in the city of Bilbao as part of IFI international programming.
